Valerie Kuulei Berdon, 71, of Hawi died Oct. 27 at Kohala Hospital. Born in Honokaa, she was a foreman for West Hawaii Concrete and member of ABWA, GOS and Waimea Outdoor Circle. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. James Episcopal Church, 65-1237 Kawaihae Rd. in Waimea. Service at 10 a.m. Survived by daughters, Kehaulani R. Berdon and Rosaline Leolani Rodrigues; brother, Alfred Berdon Jr.; sisters, Leo Akau, Charmaine Phillips and Corinne (Matthew) Weller; six grandsons and four great-grandsons; aunts, uncles and cousins. Mary Ellen Bohol, 79, of Pahoa died Oct 5. Born in Virginia, she was a retired brazer. No services scheduled at this time. Linda Kamalamalama de Souza, 78, of Hilo died Oct. 23. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired pipe fitter. Celebration of life at a later date. John Kealamakia Losalio, 53, of Captain Cook died Sept. 5 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, he was a rockwall mason and tattoo artist.
