Police are investigating an assault that occurred early Saturday morning. at Honolii Beach Park in Hilo.
At 2:08 a.m., Hilo patrol officers responded to the Hilo Medical Center about a report of a 20-year-old man with visible injuries to his head and face.
Due to the serious nature of the victim’s injuries, he was airlifted to The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu for further treatment where he is currently in stable condition.
