Marian Yuriko Kihara, 85, of Pahoa died Aug. 22 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kealakekua, she was a retired secretary of the former RAK Repair in Hilo, a cook at the former Mall Foods Snack Bar in Hilo and member of Honomu Henjoji Mission (Odaishisan). Caleb Kekoa Nazara, 51, of Hampton, Va., died June 24 in Virginia. Born in Kealakekua, he was a graduate of Konawaena High School, a kumu ‘olelo Hawaii (Hawaiian language teacher), contemporary and traditional Hawaiian musician, caretaker with Na Oiwi Mauli Ola, former Kona Hawaiian Civic Club president, lauhala weaver, chef, and minister of the Hau‘oli Kamana‘o Church and Da Church, Embassy of Heaven.
