Craig Andres, 47, of Hilo died April 22 at Hilo Medical Center, Born in Hilo, he was building maintenance worker for the Hawaii Community College. Visitation 10-11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 11, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life at 11:30 a.m. Survived by companion, Kehaulani Abril of Hilo; children, Keelen Adres, Kayla Andres and Aaliyah Kahaloa-Young of Hilo; sunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Alexis U‘ilani “Lani” (Ah Mow) Beamer, 71, of Waimea died May 3 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker, mother and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation 9-11:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waimea Chapel. Celebration of life at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at the Waimea Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints Cemetery. Sadako Iyo, 91, of Hilo died Feb. 15. Born in Captain Cook, she was a retired senior cashier for the former Food Fair Supermarket and member of Hawaii Ballroom Dance. Survived by sons, Myles Iyo and Dennis Iyo; daughters, Joycelyn Iyo and Christine (Jason) Gushiken; brothers, Lloyd Hiraoka and Isami Hiraoka; sisters, Yukiko H. Sewake and Yuriko H. Chong Tom Poy, aka Tom Poy Jr., 96, of Laupahoehoe died May 21 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired crane loader operator for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., longtime chairman for ILWU Unit 1106, president of Laupahoehoe Pensioners Club, member of North Hilo Community Council, Hawaiian Civic Club of Laupahoehoe and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Visitation 8-10 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Service at 10 a.m. Gravesite Service with military honors noon at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Burial to follow. Mathilda Margaret Kamalu Salinas, 80, of Kailua-Kona died May 22 at home. Born on Molokai, she was a retired teacher at Konawaena High School, member of Kona Music Society and served at Solid Rock Ministries in Kona. Rhoda Setsuko Sumiki, 76, of Honolulu, formerly of Papaikou, died May 19 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was a retired loan officer for the Board of Water Supply Federal Credit Union and worked at the former HT&T Federal Credit Union in Hilo. Visitation 9-10 a.m. June 14 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow. Casual attire.
