Amy Sueko Sakai Abe, 65, of Hilo died April 14 at home. Born in Hilo, she was retired from KTA Super Stores and the former Sure Save Supermarket as a cashier, and was a member of Zion’s House of Praise Holiness Church in Hilo. Alan B. Dalao, 84, of Hilo died May 15 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Paauhau, he was a truck driver and crane operator for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and retired Hawaii National Guard soldier. Memorial service 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 in Hilo. Casual attire. William Ronald “Ron” Dolan, 69, of Hilo died Feb. 15. Born in Chelsea, Mass., he was a retired certified public accountant, member of the Rotary Club of Hilo, Hawaii Association of Public Accountants, Hawaii Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs, Big Island Estate Planning Council, Hawaii Island Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, Ancient Order of Foresters Court Mauna Kea No 8854 and member and past Commodore of Hilo Yacht Club,. He was a voracious reader, second-degree black belt in aikido, and enjoyed traveling. No koden (monetary gifts). Michael David Freitas, 33, of Holualoa died Jan. 4 at Kona Community Hospital.
