Juan Bartolome Agpaoa, 88, of Keaau died March 24 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Loaog City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a self-employed papaya farmer and member of First Born Temple Church in Hilo. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday (May 19) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Services at 6 p.m. Visitation again 8-10 a.m. Saturday (May 20) at First Born Temple. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park. Ilima section. Survived by wife, Isabel M. Agpaoa of Keaau; sons, Emilio (Marisol) Agpaoa and Gerry (Mary Liezl) Agpaoa of Keaau, Melicio (Angelita) Agpaoa of Honolulu; four grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Marvin Bauman, 74, of Hawaiian Paradise Park, previously of Lodi and Medina, Ohio, died Nov. 28, 2021, at home. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam War-era veteran and a devout Christian. Services with military honors at noon Thursday (May 18) at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.

Annie Yukiko Kochan, 92, of Hilo died May 9 at a private care home. Born in Hakalau, she was a retired executive secretary. Private services held. Survived by brother, Shinsuke (Pauline) Matayoshi of Hilo; sisters, Akiko (Henry) Segawa of Hilo and Sally Ueunten of Torrance, Calif.; sister-in-law, Janice Hiyane of Hilo; nieces and nephews. Gwynne Jackson Gravett Logan, 92, of Waimea died May 2 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua in Honokaa. Born in Richmond, Va., she was a retired state district librarian for Laupahoehoe, Honokaa, Waimea and Kohala public libraries. Private service. Condolences: P.O. Box 2160, Kamuela, HI 96743. Thomas Ku‘uipo Nathaniel Sr., 92, of Thousand Oaks, Calif., formerly of Hilo, died Nov. 28, 2021 in Thousand Oaks. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Jack’s Tour Bus Driver and U.S. Army veteran. Memorial service 9:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at Haili Congregational Church. No flowers; reception to follow. Scattering of ashes 1-2 p.m. at Moku Ola (Coconut Island). Survived by daughters, Julie Cooksey and Janie Nathaniel of Maryland, stepdaughter Cory (Win) Lange of California., daughter-in-law Sandra Nathaniel of California; two grandsons, a step-grandson and step-granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
