Kamehameha Schools – Hawai‘i senior Kahiwaleinaniokealoha “Kahiwa” Ili was named to the All Tournament Team for last week’s HHSAA Division II Softball State Championship.

Ili was one of five infielders placed on the All-Tournament Team, which consisted of 12 players total.

The senior noted an impressive performance in Wednesday’s quarterfinal, 2-1 victory over Aiea HS — during which she hit two doubles in her three at-bat’s — batting in a run to tie the score in the bottom sixth inning.

Ili was KSH softball’s top slugger, recording numerous massive days at the plate — such as three doubles in a BIIF semifinal game against Honoka‘a HS, a three-run homer and a double against Ka‘u HS, two doubles against Hilo HS, and two homers for three total runs against Kohala HS.

The Warriors finished the State Championship tournament in fourth place, falling 9-8 to Nanakuli HS in the third-place consolation match.
