Governor lied

To Gov. Josh Green: When Dawn Chang was confirmed (as director of the Department of Land and Natural Resources), she immediately went on a cat-killing program, targeting our community cats that many of us have trapped, neutered, chipped, given medical aid, and maintained until their dying day, when we with kindness and compassion see that their passing is the softest possible.

How would you feel if your loved ones were trapped, terrified and brutally killed?

One thing I know: They are not leaving this world in kind hands.

You said you made your last social comment, because you are so busy? You have hardly responded to how many hundreds or thousands of calls, texts, posts, letters. How dare you tell your constituents you are too busy for us!

You said in your world, you don’t call people “liars.” I transcribed your exact words on Aug. 24. In fact, you did lie.

Chang said that you spoke out of line, that the reason she was coming to the Big Island was not in regard to our community cats at all.

The second lie is that our starving community cats would receive food and water. This is a week later — where is it? By now you must have seen the photo of the starving cats? Two weeks without food and water!

Honestly, the cruelty of what you are doing reminds me of Kim Jong Un’s confiscation of the dogs in his country.

Below are your exact words:

“On the neighbor islands, they’re worried about protecting nene but also being mindful and respectful in a kind of humane way for cats and other animals. We’re going to try to work through those issues carefully, and I’m sending our DNLR director tomorrow to work out a peaceful solution.

“We’re going to try to find a humane way to get some food and water, in a very controlled way, a very controlled way, so that cats don’t suffer.”

You are a liar!

I always find in interesting and out of context when the media compares Fox “News” to other cable news networks.

Fox has a clear advantage to the others, because viewers will find it on the basic cable package. Cable customers must pay extra for an upgrade to MSNBC or CNN.

No doubt thousands if not millions of viewers do not pay extra for the next viewing level.

I would imagine if the cost of Fox went up, the viewer population would drop even further than occurred with the termination of Tucker Carlson. I have little doubt MSNBC would soar by Fox, and CNN would gain as well.

As for the “mainstream” media, a bit more context to stories and articles would add a great deal to the voting public’s knowledge of events. Something sorely missing in today’s reporting, generally.
