The cause of a fire that destroyed a small vacant house Sunday in Leilani Estates subdivision is under investigation.

According to a Hawaii Fire Department statement, the roof of the single-story, 1,000-square-foot wood-frame home collapsed shortly after fire units arrived at the Kupono Street home.

Damages were estimated at $1250,000, while no property value was saved.
