James “Jimmy” D. Aguiar, 88, of Hilo died March 2 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Paauilo, he was a mail carrier in Hilo, lead singer of Jimmy and the Boys, worker for A’s Favorite Ceramics, night manager at Kilauea Shell, played baseball for the Puueo Poi and the Hilo Post Office teams, was a 1952 Hilo High School alum, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and YMI and U.S. Army veteran.
