Mildred M. Fukuchi, 83, of Hilo died April 2, 2022, in San Diego. Born in Hilo, she was a retired shuttle bus driver for Thrifty Car Rental. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Ballard Family Mortuary. Blane Akira Maebo, 66, of Hilo, died Feb. 26 at home. Born in Hilo, he was the owner of Maebo Noodle Factory Inc. and Maebo International Supply LLC and member ofWaiakea Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Jennifer Christie Ontiveros, 38, of Honokaa died Dec. 24 at Hilo Medical Center. She was born and raised in Honokaa.
