George Lopes, 46, of Hawaii Island died Feb. 15. No known family. Survivors are asked to call Hilo Medical Center at (808) 932-3500, option 4.

Maria “Louisa” Santiago, 93, of Hawi died Feb. 15 at North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. Born in Kona, she was a housewife, mother, and member of Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the former Kohala Puerto Rican Club. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Halawa Catholic Cemetery. Survived by daughters, Camilia Santiago and Krisann (Samuel Dean) Santiago-Dean of North Kohala; stepson, Gilbert (Millie) Santiago of California; stepdaughter, Rose Marie “Linda” Pohina of Hilo; sister, Austacia “Annie” Travens of Kona; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Raymond Katsumi Tanaka, 80, of Hilo died Jan. 27 in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, he was a retired tanker truck driver for The Gas Company and a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Monday, March 13, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary in Honolulu. Service at 6 p.m. Aloha attire; mask required. Survived by wife, Jeanette Tanaka; son, Troy (Beth) Tanaka; daughter, Ruth (Gordon) Tanaka-Gum; brother, Michael (Mai) Tanaka; sisters, Doris Niiyama, Nancy (Susumu) Hashimoto and Evelyn Tanaka; four grandchildren.
