Treva Louise Chapple, 88, of Holualoa died Feb. 18 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Los Angeles, she was a jewelry store sales associate. Services at a later date. Dorothea “Dottie” Barbara (Tenney) Cordell, 91, of Hilo died Jan. 1 at home. She was the youngest member of the country-western band The Tenney Sisters, and entertained on radio, TV and stage from the late 1940s to the early 1960s, toured nationally and shared the stage with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Gabby Hayes, Tex Ritter and The Three Stooges. They were inducted into the Massachusetts Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008. Private celebration of life at a later date. No flowers. Ralph “Fuzzy” Howard Fike, 80, of Hilo died Feb. 8 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Pittsburgh, he was a retired overseer for county Public Works and U.S. Navy veteran. Private services held. Laurie Kaluna Gomes, 56, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 6 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, she was a self-employed housekeeper. Daniel Ray Holliday, 75, of Pahoa died Jan. 20 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Jacksonville, N.C., he was a disabled U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam War veteran. Alice Tokie Kawamoto, 81, of Captain Cook died Jan. 5 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Honaunau, she was a retired housekeeper and laundry supervisor at Kona Community Hospital and member of Ka Ulu Lauhala O Kona, Keei Mauka Kumi and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Kealakekua. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Survived by daughters, Lisa Kitaoka, Paula (Shane Domingo) Kawamoto and Karen “Kaui” Kawamoto; brother, Wallace Matsuda, two grandsons; aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
