UPDATE: Police arrested Hudson Patrick Hooulu Sauer Monday and charged him with first-degree theft and four counts of auto theft.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a 28-year-old Kona man wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest related to several alleged vehicle thefts, and for questioning in other criminal investigations.

Hudson Patrick Hooulu Sauer is described as 5-feet-7-inches tall, 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his outer left arm of the Virgin Mary and the word “Ku‘uipo” tattooed in bold black lettering on his inner left arm, plus a tribal design tattoo on his upper back and neck.

Sauer is known to frequent South Kona area and was most recently spotted in Ka‘u on Saturday.

Police are reminding the public that harboring or concealing a wanted person could result in criminal charges being filed against the person who does so.
