Paul Antonio Jr., 84, of Kapaau died Jan. 11 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Kohala, he was a retired manager for Hertz Rent A Car, retired laundry worker for the former Royal Waikoloan, truck driver for the former Kohala Sugar Co., member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward, and U.S. Army veteran and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 4) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawi County Cemetery. Casual or aloha attire. Survived by children, Paul (Cindy) Antonio III , Michelle Omalley and Shane Kalani Chesebro Antonio of Kohala; brothers, Roy (Nancy) Antonio of Kohala and Rudy (Rose Mary) Antonio of Honolulu; sister-in-law, Lucy Antonio of Honolulu; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Nathan Richard Branchik, 54, of Pahoa died Dec. 17 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Cleveland, he was a drywall installer, graduated from Churchill High School in Eugene, Ore. and attended Oregon State University. Private services held. Survived by daughter, Kalena (Titus) Schudel-Branchik of Keaau; father, Richard Branchik of Oregon; mother, Barbara Houghton of Washington; brother, Adam Branchik of Oregon; stepdaughter, Jessica Deyoe of Hilo; two grandchildren. Edward Joseph Brunner, 65, of Holualoa died Jan. 14 at home. Born in Cleveland, he was the owner of Sunset Traders and member of Living Stones Church. Celebration of life 4 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 4) at Living Stones Church on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona. No flowers. Memorial donations to Hospice of Kona. Evelyn Ilima Alani Hegent, 75, of Hilo died Nov. 16 at home. Born in North Kona, she was a teacher for Parker School. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 4) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Soledad B. “Shirley” Ligsay, 89, of Waimea died Jan. 4 at North Hawaii Community Hospital.
