BIIF swimming, diving finals this week

The BIIF Swimming and Diving preliminary and finals schedule is set for Friday and Saturday this week.

Warm-ups and competitions will all be at the Nae‘ole Swimming Pool at the Kamehameha Schools Hawaii Campus.

The diving preliminary competition will be on Friday with the warm-up at 9 a.m. and official start time at 10 a.m. The diving finals will be on Saturday with the warm-up at 8 a.m. and start time at 9 a.m.

The swimming preliminary competition will be on Friday with the warm-up at 2 p.m. and the official start time at 3:30 p.m.

The swimming finals will be on Saturday with the warm-up at 11:30 a.m. and the start time at 1 p.m.

The order of swimming events will follow the schedule below:

1. Girls 1 Meter Diving

2. Boys 1 Meter Diving

3. Girls 200 Medley

4. Boys 200 Medley

5. Girls 200 Freestyle

6. Boys 200 Freestyle

7. Girls 200 Individual Medley

8. Boys 200 Individual Medley

9. Girls 50 Freestyle

10. Boys 50 Freestyle

11. Girls 100 Butterfly

12. Boys 100 Butterfly

13. Girls 100 Freestyle

14. Boys 100 Freestyle

15. Girls 500 Freestyle

16. Boys 500 Freestyle

17. Girls 200 Freestyle Relay

18. Boys 200 Freestyle Relay

19. Girls 100 Backstroke

20. Boys 100 Backstroke

21. Girls 100 Breaststroke

22. Boys 100 Breaststroke

23. Girls 400 Freestyle Relay

24. Boys 400 Freestyle Relay

All events will be held during the preliminary round on Friday. The top sixteen swimmers for all individual events will advance to the finals.

Qualifiers 1 through 8 will swim in the Championship Final and qualifiers 9-16 will swim in the Consolation Final.

The top eight teams for all relay events will advance to the finals. There is no Consolation Final for relay events.

Girls and boys individual and relay events will be scored separately to eight places.

Medals will be awarded for first through third places and ribbons for fourth through eighth places for both individual and relay events.

A permanent team award will be presented to the BIIF Champion girls’ team and BIIF Champion boys’ team.
