They Mayor’s Cup Senior Softball Tournament continues today at Old Kona Airport Park with 34 teams from Hawaii and the mainland competing.

On Wednesday, Kona Gold took the 70 Division championship after a 16-10 win over Scrap Iron from Colorado.

The tournament started with six teams competing in 2012 and has grown to include women and men’s teams meeting in Kona for a premier competition. Six teams are from Hawaii, and the remaining come from the mainland.
