Leonila delos Santos Cabanting, 94, Keaau died Jan. 6 at home. Born in San Isidro, Santa Maria, Isabela, Philippines, she was a farmer, gardener and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park, Lehua Section. David Patrick “Kawika” Crowley, 71, of Pepeekeo died Jan. 4 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Elizabeth City, N.C., he was a songwriter, musician and record producer. Born in Papaaloa, she was a Laupahoehoe High School alumna, sugar plantation office worker, organist for Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Papaaloa and Saint James Catholic Church in Ookala, member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and its choir, Kamana Senior Center and Na Lima Lele Ukulele Group. Alvah Tsuyoshi Miyamoto, 97, of Hilo died Dec. 7 at a care home in Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired district engineer for state Department of Transportation Highways Division and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Hilo Senior Golf Club, Highway Golf Club and University Heights Kumiai.
