HGEA Retirees Unit returns to in-person meetings, activities

The Hawaii Government Employees Association Retirees Unit, Hawaii Chapter, is activating in-service activities and reinstituting in-person meetings, chapter President Evelyn Togashi said.

There is a general membership meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in HGEA’s Multipurpose facility at 495 Manono St. in Hilo.

The guest speaker will be Mahie Trask, the unit administrator.

In addition, discussions will include nomination of officers for an election to take place at 9 a.m. on March 15, community action activities, excursions, speakers, workshops and the upcoming Retirees Unit State Biannual General Assembly Convention on June 6-7 in Hilo.

All HGEA retirees members are encouraged to attend to familiarize themselves with the programs and fellow retirees.
