Thelma May Julianna Keolauhane Hepa “Auntie Julie” Akau, 78, of Hilo died Dec. 17 at home. Born in Lihue, Kauai, she was a retired customer service representative for Norwest Financial and 1962 graduate of Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 8) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. Earl Kainoa Kanae, 75, of Hilo died Dec. 19, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center.
