Panaewa Ali‘i plays for Pop Warner national title today

Kelsey Walling/Tribune-Herald The Panaewa Ali’i are representing Hawaii Island in the Pop Warner National Championship today at 7:30 a.m. Hawaii time. The 25 youth football players are playing the Oviedo Lions from Florida for the 12U Division II Championship.

The Panaewa Ali‘i are playing in the Pop Warner National Championship today in Orlando, Fl.

After defeating the Aurora Gators from Illinois and the Redwood City 49ers from California, the Ali‘i faces the Oviedo Lions from Florida for the 12U Division II Championship.

The 25 Panaewa youth beat the Gators in the quarterfinal 24-0 and the 49ers in the semifinal 30-8.

The Championship game will be at 7:30 a.m. Hawaii time and can be live streamed using the app, Flosports.
