Leslie Rita Duarte, 91, of Holualoa died Nov. 17 at her family’s home. Born in Kealakekua, she was a homemaker, coffee farmer, co-owner of Duarte’s Piggery and member of Immacualate Conception Church in Holualoa. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by sons, William Duarte Jr., Allan Duarte and Wayne Duarte of Holualoa; daughters, Judy Duarte and Darlene Duartel of Holualoa; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. William “Buddy” Louis Greenwood, 75, of Honokaa died on Nov. 7 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Hamakua, he was a maintenance supervisor for the federal government and U.S. Air Force veteran. Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Richard Shigeo Nakahara, 77, of Hawi died Nov. 15 at Kohala Hospital. Born in Kohala, he was the general manager for M. Nakahara Store, a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and member of Hawi Jodo Mission, Kohala Merchants Association and Kohala Golf Club. Visitation 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Hawi Jodo Mission. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Lance Takao Okimoto, 72, of Papaikou died Nov. 14 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Onomea, he was retired from the state Department of Human Services. Thomas “Tommy” Earl Rezentes, 85, of Hilo died Nov. 13 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, He was a retired tractor mower operator for the state Department of Education, worked at Ming’s Jewelry before opening his own jewelry business, and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 9:30 a.m. Graveside service at Homelani Memorial Park to follow. Casual attire. Daniel “Bodinki” Rodrigues, 90, of Papaikou died Nov. 22 at Hilo Medical Center, Born in Wailea, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou and Kohala Puerto Rican Social Club. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Immcaulate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Section 7. Survived by wife, Julia Rodrigues of Papaikou; children, Marleen Thomas of Connecticut, Nancy Menton of California, Roberta (Mark) Lammerier of Minnesota, Daniel Wayne Rodrigues of Honolulu and Phyllis (Dale) Sweeney of Washington; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other family.
