William “Billy Boy” Victor Choy Hee, 76, of Laupahoehoe died May 18 on Oahu. He was a retired United Airlines maintenance mechanic, Laupahoehoe School graduate and U.S. Navy veteran. Shirley Ann Kanehailua, 78, of Hilo died Nov. 2. Born in Hilo, she was a retired district manager for Freeman Guards Inc. and charter member of Hawaiian Civic Club of Laupahoehoe. Survived by children, Kimi Kanehailua Kaeo, Mitchell Kanehailua Jr., Marshall Kanehailua, Karen Kanehailua Teshima and Marlene Kanehailua; daughter-in-law, Esther Kanehailua; son-in-law, Lon Teshima; sister, Diana (George) Aukai; brothers, Rodney (Margaret) Acia, Johnny Boy (Rhoda) Medeiros and Alika Medeiros; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
