Dog show continues today in Hilo

Dog owners and trainers from across the state showed their dogs in the Orchid Island Dog Fancier Club dog show in Hilo on Saturday morning.

The show featured over 100 canines from about 33 breeds.

The competition, which is certified by the American Kennel Club, is the only dog show held on a neighbor island.

The show will continue today with more breeds from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Edith Kanakaole Multi Purpose Stadium. Admission is free.
