Patricia Jane Eames, 73, of Honaunau, died Aug. 30 at home. Born in Hibbing, Minn., she was a retired registered nurse, coffee farmer and member and coach at Keoua Canoe Club. Alice Marie Edwards, 90, of Hilo died Sept. 11 at home. Born in Fallon, Nev., she was a homemaker, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ainaola Ward, volunteer for Retired Seniors Volunteer Program and the Problem Pregnancy Center. Born in Ka‘u, he was a retired Hawaii County police captain and district commander, former Hawaii County Councilman for District 9, member of Hillside Calvary Church, Kahu Ku Mauna-University of Hawaii, Ke Ala Kahawai O Waimea Streamside Trail, Outdoor Circle, Ulu La‘au Waimea Nature Park, former member of Island Burial Council, and Board of Water Supply.
