Monica Alexis Costa, 72, of Ontario, Calif., died Jan. 5. Born in Hilo, she was an accountant and graduate of St. Joseph High School. Joanne Stella-Marie David, 73, of Ocean View died Aug. 8 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kohala, she was a salesperson for the former Liberty House. Service at a later date. Conrad Kaaumoana Haleamau, 47, of Kalaoa, Kona, died July 24 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, he was a baseyard foreman for Alii Builders. Raymond “Joe” Kealohaokalani Lui Jr., 82, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 2 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Honolulu, he was a truck driver, heavy equipment operator and master mechanic for J.M. Tanaka Construction Co., co-owner of ANJ Painting Services, commercial fisherman, kupuna for Kahakai Elementary School, bus driver for Yamaguchi Transportation, rubbish hauler, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and U.S. Army veteran. Memorial service 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kailua-Kona. Visitation again at the church at 8-10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire.
