Joseph Albrecht, 69, of Hilo died July 25 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Vancouver, Wash., he was retired. No services. No known family. Survivors are asked to call Dodo Mortuary at (808) 935-5751.

Takiko Chung, 99, of Hilo died June 16 at Hawaii Care Choice Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Pepeekeo, she was a retired seamstress for the former Kamehameha Garment Factory and Hilo Hatties. Private services. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sons, Aaron (Anne) Chung and Michael (Hiromi) Chung of Hilo; sister, Takayo Yuen of Pearl City, Oahu; brother, Willis (Elaine) Nakaoka of Hilo; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Robert Stanley DeMotta Jr., 56, of Hilo died July 12 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Hilo, he was a mechanic for Alamo and Hertz car rental agencies and Pop Warner Football coach. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Shinichi “Ray” Kitamori, 87, of Hilo died July 6 at home. Born in Olaa, he was a carpenter. Private services held. Betty R. “Aunty Betty” Hunter Obermann, 73, of Keaau died July 20. Born in Albuquerque, N.M., she was a Realtor, neighborhood watch coordinator and member of Na Po‘e ao Hiwa Halau Olapa ‘O Laka I Ka‘ana ‘O Puna. Roy Masayoshi Tanimoto, 81, of Keaau died July 9 at home.
