Fanny K. Alcosiba, 74, of Kailua-Kona died May 5 at Rosita’s Care Home. Born in Honolulu, she was an accountant for Kamaaina Motors in Hilo. Services at a later date. Survived by husband George Alcosiba of Hawaiian Paradise Park; sons, Jason (Jenny) Vierra of Keaau and Eric Vierra of San Francisco; daughter, Leanne (Jeff) Rodriguez of Vidalia, Ga.; sisters, Kathy Manuel of Kawaihae, Kathleen Kane and Maureen Kane of San Francisco, Titi Collins of Honolulu; brothers, Joseph Kane of San Francisco, Michael Kane of Hilo, Ernest Collins of Kaneohe, Oahu, and Michael Ahn of Kailua-Kona; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Kenneth Ah Tet Apaka, 92, of Hilo, died May 18 at home. Born in Lihue, Kauai, he was a retired supervisor for the former Hawaiian Telephone Co. and member of Mauna Kea Hawaiian Pidgin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Lydia K. Kahumoku, 87, of Kailua-Kona died June 9 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Kona, she was a security officer. Calvin “Cals” Shigeto Sato, 73, of Laupahoehoe died June 2 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Ookala, he was a maintenance worker for Brantley Center Inc. and The Arc of Hilo.
