Betty Jane Becker, 95, of Kailua-Kona died May 10 at home. Born in Los Angeles, she was a homemaker. Private services to be held. Survived by daughters Sharon (Milton) Miles of Idaho, Debbie (Ronald) Horst of Kailua-Kona; son James (Linda) Becker of New Mexico; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Katherine “Kathy” Branco, 69, of Hilo, died May 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honokaa, she was a homemaker, former employee of the Hawaiian Holiday Macadamia Nut Company and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation to be held 7:30-9 a.m. June 6 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo, with funeral mass to follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Private burial to follow. Survived by husband Manuel Branco of Hilo, children Tracy (Taylor Mattos) Branco, Kelly (Kelvin Fukushima) Branco and Brian (Cherie Tampon) Branco, all of Hilo; brothers Joseph E. Patricia Ann Branco, 84, of Hilo, died April 25 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a child care provider and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation to be held 8-9:30 a.m. Thursday (May 26) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, with funeral mass to follow at 9:30 a.m. and burial service at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Ken Fukushima, 67, of Hilo died April 11. He was born in Hakalau. Private services held. Kim Irish Milner, 70, of Keaau died May 6 at home. Born in Los Angeles, he was a retired Honolulu police officer and an avid surfer. Private services held. Mitzi Mitsue Nakano, 89, of Hilo died March 15 at Legacy of Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Pascual Pena Pimentel, 71, of Honaunau died May 5 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Torrecillas Churintzio in Michoacan, Mexico, he was an agricultural worker and farm manager. Aaron Tsurumi Sugino, 61, of Pepeekeo died April 23 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired social worker for the state Department of Health, a maintenance worker for the University of Hawaii at Hilo, owner of Aaron’s Blue Kalo and a member of the Hakalau Jodo Mission. Visitation to be held 11 a.m. to noon Thursday (May 26) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, with memorial service to follow at noon. Casual attire. Family requests no wreaths, but small plants for Aaron’s garden will be welcomed.
