Stanford “Stan” Louis Barcarse, 74, of Hilo died April 21 at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Lihue, Kauai, he was a retired branch manager from various financial institutions, U.S. Army staff sergeant and Vietnam War veteran, temple member and high priest for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ainaola Ward, committee member of Hawaii County Vietnam War Memorial and member of American Legion Hilo Post 3, Machado Acres Association, Exchange Club and Boy Scouts of America. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Monday, May 16, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Graveside committal service noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 pavilion. Face masks requested. Linda May Leilani Fountain, 80, of Hilo, formerly of Honolulu, died March 4 at home.
