Bernadette Boehmer, 79, of Kailua-Kona died April 22 at home. Born in Chicago, she was a retired office manager for Kraftsman Auto Body and member of Kona Coast Kennel Club. Private service held. Survived by husband, John Florek of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Denise (Billy) Davis of Kailua-Kona; sister, Madeline (James) Borek of Illinois; a granddaughter. Richard Dean Heller, 65, of Keaau died April 18 at home. Born in Colorado Springs, Colo., he was an appliance repair technician, owner of Richard’s Repair Service and Sales and member of the Honolulu HOGs, Sports Car Club of America, Street Bikers United and Hawaii and Waikiki yacht clubs. Steven “Canary” Matthew Hernandez, 72, of Mountain View, formerly of Kalihi, Oahu, died April 25 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired mason and tile Setter for The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 Hawaii. Visitation 2-4 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 4 p.m. Cremation on Saturday, May 14. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by children, Crystal N. Toyoko K. Ishizu, 94, of Hilo died April 13 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Waimea, Kauai, she was a retired elementary school teacher, working most of career at Hilo Union School, avid golfer and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Hawaii Island Retired Teachers Association Hawaii State Teachers Association Retirees and Kaumana Terrace Kumiai. Survived by son, Michael Ishizu of Hilo; sisters, Emily Minei of Waimea, Kauai, Jane Muller and Jean Hee of Honolulu; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; nephews, nieces and cousins. Eliane Blanche Renee Lomax, 77, of Kailua-Kona died April 21 at home. Born in Macon, France, she was a retired assistant director, worked for the federal government and member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Services held. Cosmedin Benaza Quiocho Sr., 91, of Hilo died April 10 at home. Born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was retired from the former Hilo Coast Processing Company, a Hawaii Army National Guard veteran and member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and ILWU Pensioner Club. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
