Ronald P. Aguiar, 82, of Hilo died Feb. 10 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired store manager for S.H. Kress Stores in Hilo, Lihue, Kaneohe and Honolulu-Fort Street, and F.W. Woolworth in Waianae, and a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 24) at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Mass at 10 a.m. Service on Zoom, ID No. 983-2223-8124. Committal service noon at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 pavilion. Casual attire; face masks and social distancing required. Survived by sister-in-law, Margo P. Margarita “Rita” Acosta Dela Cruz, 95, of Waimea died Jan. 16 at home. Born in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired worker for Hirayama Farm, worked for Hirako Farm, Okada Farm and Kawamata Farm and was member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 26) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Eulogy at 9:40 a.m. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Morayta Cabus Gamiao, 79, of Honokaa died Jan. 20 at North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. Born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a part-time baker for Donna’s Cookies in Paauilo. Vivian Vera Kubo, 92, of Hilo died Dec. 21 at home. Born in Kukaiau, she was a sales clerk with the former S.H. Kress Store and Stan Randolph Enterprises, dba The Kiosk, in Hilo. Private services held. Survived by daughters, Pamela (Bruce) Mattys of Oregon and Natalie M. Kubo of Honolulu; son, Erwine S. Charlotte-Mae Faith Kinokalani Lyons, 78, of Hilo died Dec. 2 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired cocktail waitress for the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, waitress and cook for Makalei Golf Course, waitress for the Banyan and Bar Restaurant and member of Alu Like’s Keola Pono No Na Kupuna.
