Morayta Cabus Gamiao, 79, of Honokaa died Jan. 20 at North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea. Born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a part-time baker for Donna’s Cookies in Paauilo. Visitation only 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday (Feb. 23) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Public memorial service at a later date. Casual attire; face masks and social-distancing required. Survived by daughters, Lorna Gamiao of Philippines and Leslie (Jose Jr.) Miguel of Honokaa; sons, Jonah (Florence) Gamiao, Joven (Maria Antonia) Gamiao and Joveleo (Analyn) Gamiao of Philippines; sisters, Lolita Cabo and Nellie Felicitas of Philippines; brother, Pepito Cabus of Philippines; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Joseph Edward Korona III, 69, of Naalehu died Jan. 25 at home. Born in Baltimore, Md., and raised in Trenton, N.J., he was a radio broadcaster, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Naalehu, Secular Franciscan Order and volunteer for various senior services. Rosary 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Naalehu.. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; face masks and social distancing required. Sammy Van Nguyen, 51, of Hilo died Feb. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in South Vietnam, he was a farmer. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 22) at Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church in Keaukaha.
