Brett Komatsu fueled the rally in the seventh with a hit and drove in a run in the fifth that tied that game after Jake Hjelle homered for Crookston.

In the first game, Joe Gallagher homered in UHH’s 10-4 victory, a two-run shot, finishing with three of the Vuls’ 15 hits. Casey Yamauchi also collected three hits, and three relievers combined to hold Crookston to a run in five innings after Christian Dejesus (five hits, three runs, two walks, four strikeouts).

UHH (8-1) and Crookston (2-5) finish the series with a doubleheader Sunday.
