Hilo Little League registration

Hilo Little League Baseball and Softball will hold registration on Sunday and Jan. 30, from 1-3 p.m. both days at the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island.

Bring an original birth certificate. The draft will be held Feb 9.

Waiakea coaching openings

Waiakea High is looking for an assistant girls track and field coach. Experience with girls hurdles and jumping is preferred.

In addition, positions for a boys volleyball coach and water polo coach remain open.

Applications can be picked up at Waiakea High’s main office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

North Kohala golf fundraiser

The North Kohala Community Resource Center, a nonprofit organization celebrating its 20th year of supporting the community, on March 5 will hold its fifth annual golf tournament, a fundraiser to help NKCRC further its efforts to support nearly 80 projects and programs in the rural North Kohala community.

The tournament is a four-person team scramble, and the entry fee of $160 per player covers cart, green fees, practice facility use, lunch and prizes.

Check-in is at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
