Kevin Furuli, 57, of Hilo died Oct. 15 at home. Born in Shakopee, Minn., he was owner-operator of Kevin Furuli Diesel Mechanic, formerly employed as a diesel mechanic at local commercial quarry operations and trucking companies, volunteer youth baseball coach for New Hope Angels, youth girl’s softball coach for Hilo Comets, member of New Hope Hilo Church and Hale Pule Ke Aloha Hou and served in the ‘Imi Ola Cancer Support Ministry. Celebration of life walk-through Saturday, Dec. 4 at New Hope Hilo, at 840 Kupulau Rd. Public visitation 10-11:30 a.m. Private service to follow. Face masks and socialdistancing required. Rachel Lahela Kikumoto, 84, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 30 at home. Born in South Kona, she was a PBX operator for the former Kona Hilton Hotel and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and temple worker who served in the Kona Temple. Private services at a later date. Survived by sons, Lance (Leona Ponce) Kikumoto and Wesley (Susan) Kikumoto of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Winona Elarionoff of Kailua-Kona and Bernice Mitchell of Puuanahulu; brothers, Henry (Doris Matias) Takaki of Ocean View, Kenneth (Loretta Naboa) Takaki of Kailua-Kona, Johnny (Sherie) Kiaha of Honalo, Mervin (Carole) Takaki of Kainaliu, Elton (Brandy Acol) of Ocean View and Sylvester (Zena Beall) Takaki of Kawaihae; nieces, nephews and cousins. Warren Dale Makahi Pai, 62, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 23 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, he worked for Cyanotech Corporation, was a member of the Royal Order of Kamehameha Moku O Kona and U.S. Navy veteran. Services at a later date.
