The Penn Hawaii Youth Foundation will be hosting its second annual Trunk or Treat Drive Thru Parade.

Families will be invited to drive through the parking lot at Hilo Lanes, 777 Kinoole Ave., to get candy and treats from decorated vehicles from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Participants will decorate their cars, which will remain stationary in a selected space, and will give out candy to people driving by.

To abide by health and safety protocol, treats must be packaged and store bought. A fishing net will be provided to participants to pass candy safely to cars driving through.

Those who volunteer will be judged on the best presentation, use of their vehicles and Halloween theme. There will be first, second and third place prizes for each division, best car, best SUV or van, and best truck.

Registration forms will be accepted until Friday, Oct. 29. Participants must be in the selected space by 2 p.m.

Those interested in participating can email Lorraine Shin at lorrainehawaii@yahoo.com or call at 808-864-3995.
