Joseph Jose Abril Sr., 89, of Hilo, formerly of Wailuku, Maui, died Sept. 12 at a private care home. He was a retired general foreman for Honolulu Shipyard, golfer and former member of Sandalwood Golf Course and Pukalani Country Club on Maui. Private services. Born in Pahoa, she was a secretary at Pepeekeo School, retired from Kalaniana‘ole Elementary and Intermediate School and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Young Ladies Institute, Portuguese Cultural Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church Aloha Choir and the Pokeno Club.
