Born in Maunaloa, Molokai, she was a retired registered nurse, artist and quilter, board member of Kona Adult Day Center and member of Kona Okinawa Kenjinkai, Kona Kumamoto Kenjinkai, Kinuwai Kumiai, hrist Church Episcopal and Daifukuji Orchid Club. Paul “The Honda Man” M. Eslit, 88, of Las Vegas, formerly of Hilo, died Aug. 16. Born in Waimalu, Oahu, he was a retired civilian supervisor for Military Airlift Command at Hickam Air Force Base, retired from Big Island Honda/Theo Davies Euromotors, U.S. Coast Guard veteran, graduate of Waipahu High School and Hawaii Business College, past president of the Hilo Exchange Club and member of Kanoelehua Industrial Area Association who was actively involved in Christian church activities, softball leagues and scholarship pageants.
