Bonnie Kam Lin Bissen, 55, of Hilo died July 30 in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was a contract security supervisor at Port of Hilo for American Guard Services Inc. and Jan Guard Hawaii Inc. Drive-thru celebration of life 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at Dodo Mortuary carport. Face masks and social distancing required; no leaving vehicle during crive-thru. Survived by husband, Edward Martin Jr. of Hilo; sons, Brandon (Melissa) Respicio, Ikaika Martin and Pomaika‘i Martin of Hilo; daughter, Kau‘i (Kelsen Kataoka) Respicio of Hilo; mother, Carol Baclig Bissen of Hilo; siblings, Linda (Brian) Lee of Oahu and Darryl (Roxann Hao) Bissen of Kailua-Kona and extended family siblings; eight grandchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. William “Ungie” Ung Chu Jr., 81, of Hilo died Aug. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was retired from the former Hawaiian Telephone Co. and a member of Hawaiian Bowling Club, Grabers Horseshoe Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church and Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church. Drive-thru visitation 9:30 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Dodo Mortuary carport. Graveside committal service and burial 1 p.m. at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire; face masks and social distancing required. Survived by wife, Faith Chu of Hilo; son, William “Billy” (Lynnanne) Chu III of Hilo; daughter, Lorelei Chu-Dante of Las Vegas; brothers, Albert (Marie) Kelson and Ronald Chu of Hilo, Randy Chu of Washington; sister, Gwen Huston of Hilo; nine grandchildren. Louise Chiyoko Kozuki, 91, of Hilo died Aug. 20 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired secretary for KTA Super Stores and member of Heritage Christian Fellowship. Bliss Kazumi Nakayama, 61, of Hilo, died Aug. 20 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a sales consultant for Big Island Toyota, worked for KTA Super Stores Puainako, the former Sure Save Keaau and Hilo Audio, was a lifetime musician, Christian, founding member of The Red Table and member of Hawaii Taishin Kyokai.
