Tropical Storm Linda, which weakened from a hurricane overnight, is set to enter the Central Pacific basin.

At 11 a.m. today, the center of the storm was about 1,015 miles east of Hilo, with maximum sustained winds near 50 mph. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km)

from the center.

Additional weakening is forecast, and Linda is expected to become post-tropical by tonight.
