Mariano Tango Calpito, 66, of Waimea died July 18 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Ballesteros, Cagayan, Philippines. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the mortuary. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire. Seating is limited; face masks and social distancing required. Richard Noboru Hanano, 95, of Waimea died July 23 at home. Born in Kohala, he was a retired station manager for Hawaiian Airlines in Kona, retired president of Hanano Nursery, member of Kamuela Hongwanji Mission and Kamuela Lions Club and U.S. Army veteran. Survived by sons, Michael (Jane) Hanano and Leslie (Manu) Hanano of Waimea, Ricky (Sylvia) Hanano of Kona; daughter, Marvis Hanano of Kona; brother, James Hanano of Kohala; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Patricia Colleen Matsumoto, 79, of Pahoa died July 31 at home. Born in California, she was an antiques dealer, former ballet dancer, member of the Rainbow Girls and animal lover. Private services. Mark Kenji Sakata, 58, of Mesa, Ariz., died May 14 in Mesa. Sonomura Contracting Co. and worked for Constructors Hawaii Inc., Isemoto Contracting Co., and K.
