Firefighters are battling what a county statement called “a runaway wildland fire” on Mana Road near Parker Ranch land outside Waimea.
According to the statement, the fire is being fanned by winds and continues to grow, while firefighting efforts are concentrating on developing containment lines and extinguishing the fire.
Motorists in the area are requested to drive with caution.
