Natalie Buza, 85 of Hilo died June 7 in Honolulu. She was born in Hilo. Celebration of life 2 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at Hale Inu Sports Bar, 399 Hualani St., Hilo. Survived by sons, Harvey (Dawn) Cuje, Sean (Geri) Buza; daughters, Debbie Safarik, Jackie (Doug Hagen) Garces, Lara (Charles) Porter, Lisa Wong; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Oahu Mortuary.

Carlina Bufil Ragual, 92, of Hilo died May 31 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Abra, Philippines, she was a teacher’s aide for the state Department of Education, a member of Good Shepherd Mission in Honomu, Gospel of Salvation Church, Honomu Senior Citizens, Mohouli Senior Center; and a participant of Hawaii Island Adult Care. Private services held. No Monetary donations or flowers. Survived by daughters, Linda (Demeterio) Berido of Talala, Okla., Pauline (Fred) Ellamar of Hilo and Kathleen (Louis) Azevedo of Pepeekeo; sons, Alan (Geomel) Ragual and Russell (Kelli) Ragual of Pepeekeo; brother, Pilagio “Blu” Bufil of Hilo; sister, Lourdes (Cazimero) Baruela of Hilo; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Kathleen Taiko Tamashiro, 85, of Honolulu died April 15, 2020, at the Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired seamstress for the former Rattan Art Gallery and a member of the Puna Baptist Church and Nuuanu Baptist Church. Private services held. Inurnment at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on Oahu at a later date. Survived by sons, Alan (Marlene) Tamashiro of Hilo, Daniel S. Tamashiro and Donald C.H. (Valerie) Tamashiro of Honolulu; one grandson; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
