Allen “Bradda Al” Boyd Filoteo, 70, of Hilo died May 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was the resident manager for Riverside Apartments, supervisor for the former Excelsior Dairy; bouncer at the former Uncle Mikey’s Nightclub, U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran, coach for Keaukaha Big League baseball, member of Hilo Boxing Club, 1968 Golden Gloves state champion and member of International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 142. Drive-thru visitation only 9 a.m.-noon Sunday, June 6, at Dodo Mortuary upper carport. Face masks and social distancing required. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Raynette Filoteo; daughter, Dana K. Antoku “Tony” Kobashigawa, 93, of Hakalau died May 3 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired shift superintendent for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., member of Hakalau Jodo Mission, Honomu Henjoji Mission, Wailea Kumiai, Hui Okinawa, U.S. Army Korean War veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Thomas “Pake” Sadao Oishi, 78, of Hilo died May 21 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired plant manager and driver trainer for Shell Oil Company, retired Hawaii Army National Guard sergeant first class, U.S. Army veteran and member of Kalanianaole School Class of 1957, Hilo High School Class of 1960, Word of God Church, Big Island National Guard Retirees Association, Hilo Jaycees (Rooster), Sunday Golf Group, Brewer Golf Club and other golf clubs. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Monday, June 7, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Urn committal service noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
