Gordon Patrick Ferreira, 68, of Hilo died April 17 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he worked at The Fairmont Orchid-Hawaii and was a U.S. Army veteran. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by wife, Marsella Ferreira; sons, Devin Ferreira, Kiko Ferreira and Gordon Patrick Ferreira; daughters, Kaua Kailianu, Alawina Hernandez, Trinidad Ferreira and Thalsbeth Ferreira; mother, Violet Ferreira; brothers, Rocky Ferreira, Jamie Ferreira and Rilan Ferreira; sister, Wendy Lee; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Angel (Hanabaga) Genobaga, 86, of Hilo died March 17 at Hilo Medical Center. He was a retired plantation worker and mechanic for the former Kohala Sugar Co. and the former Kona Inn Hotel. Private services held. Survived by son, Mertin Hanabaga of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Adelaide Heu of Kurtistown, Angeline Balucan of Keaau, Janelle Soares of Mountain View, Cindy Malakaua of Hilo and Rachel Kobashigawa; sisters, Audrey Bradley of Honolulu, Linda Bacupo and Agnes Kaholo of Kohala; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; cousins. Joseph Antone Pereira, 66, of Keaau died April 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a mechanic. Memorial service at a later date.
