Born in Seattle, she was a homemaker, former certified nursing assistant at Life Care Center of Hilo and worked at Verna’s Drive-In in Mountain View. Stanley Haruo Haraguchi, 80, of Hilo died March 3 in Hilo. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired county Department of Public Works construction inspector, worked previously for the county as an overseer for Kona Highways, owned S&L Enterprises, masonry instructor at Hawaii Community College, worked for numerous construction companies in Hilo and Associated Mason on Oahu. He was also a former member of Hawaii Government Employees Association and its Retirees Unit, volunteer for Hawaii Island Soil and Water Conservation, rooster of the former Hilo Jaycees, former member of the Aloha Council Pukahi District and Troop 19 Boy Scouts and a U.S. Navy veteran.
