Anna “Sui Lan” Kahakulani Cordero, 85, of Hilo died March 7 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kalapana, she was a pastor and co-founder of the Gospel of Alpha and Omega Church in Hawaii, a vendor at Hilo Farmers Market, owner of Spike’s Kitchen in Keaukaha, Tupperware manager, dressmaker and seamstress/floor supervisor for Margolis Manufacturing and Retail Co., dba Hilo Hatties, formerly ran the Chuckwagon lunchwagon in Kalapana and at Onekahakaha Beach Park and waitress at the former Sun Sun Lau restaurant and was known as the “Lau Lau Lady.” Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life at 10:30 a.m. Burial at noon at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire; face masks and social distancing required. Survived by daughter, Sanvelyn (Ronald) Matsuo of Hilo; sons, Anson Cordero and James (Haunani Medeiros) Cordero of Hilo; brothers, Peter Lee and Harry (Malisa) Lee of Hilo; sister, Gladys Lee of Hilo; sister-in-law, Josephine (Nicolas) Galeon of Hilo; brother-in-law, Alfredo Cordero of California; five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and cousins. Yasuo “Yasu” Fukumitsu, 92, of Kailua-Kona died March 7 at home. Born in Lanihau, he was a retired customer service agent for the former Aloha Airlines, member of Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Keopu Citizens Club and fisherman. Survived by wife, Edna Fukumitsu of Kailua-Kona; sons, Kelvin Fukumitsu of Honolulu and Jason (Heather) Fukumitsu of Simi Valley, Calif.; daughter, Laurie (Scott Ono) Fukumitsu of Mililani, Oahu; brothers, Kenji (Flora) Fukumitsu of Keopu and Isowo (Joanna) Fukumitsu of Pearl City, Oahu; sister-in-law, Jean Fukumitsu of Kaneohe, Oahu; nieces and nephews. Richard Cormack Harrison, 76, of Captain Cook died March 3 at home. Born in DeKalb, Ill., he was a self-employed electrical engineer and member of Rotary Club of Kona Mauka. Services at a later date. Kazuko Nohara, 95, of Hilo and Kapolei, Oahu, died Feb 16. Born in Hakalau, she was a cafeteria manager of several schools, homemaker and caregiver. Private inurnment service at a later date.
