Dear senators

Regarding the $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill: I’m not too bright, but when I multiply $1,400 by 350 million U.S. citizens, the result I get is $490 billion.

Pardon my ignorance, but that leaves $1.41 trillion left over from the $1.9 trillion COVID bill.

You are in Congress, so explain where that $1.41 trillion is going?

I’m here thinking a billion is a thousand million, and a trillion equals a thousand billion, and it is mindboggling when politicians throw around numbers in billions and trillions.

Meanwhile, Democrats propose “free” health care for illegals while they open the borders for illegal immigrants, and want to raise the minimum wage, which effectively shuts down small businesses and drives big business overseas, resulting in unemployment.

Help me, Sens. Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz.

Worse than Capone?

Al Capone was sentenced to 11 years prison for tax evasion and selling booze during prohibition.

Cy Vance just got Donald Trump’s tax returns, he has them right now.

Just a week ago, Cy Vance hired a top organized crime prosecutor. Realistically, what might they find?

You have a guy who has consistently lost money over a long time period. He has had so many businesses fail, that he had to declare bankruptcy not once, but four times.

And this guy still gives the impression of being very wealthy. So how does he do it?

How does a guy who keeps declaring bankruptcy keep money flowing in?

How does he get banks to keep loaning him huge amounts of money, and exactly what foreign sources have been pouring huge amounts of money into Trump’s bank accounts?

Will Cy Vance’s team only find tax evasion, like Al Capone? Or will they also find tax fraud, bank fraud, insurance fraud, real estate fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, bribery and conspiracy to defraud?

Also, who else might be indicted and sent to prison along with Trump?

It is reasonable to assume that Ivanka, Don Jr. and Eric were also in on most of these crimes.

If convicted, how many years would they all get in prison?

Al Capone got 11 years just for two crimes, so if they committed six or more of these crimes each, you would imagine they would all get at least 20 years in prison.

MAGA?

Dangerous snow-play

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, a headline on the front page of the Sports section of the paper gave some information regarding snow-play on Maunakea. It involved a MedFlight to Honolulu and over $150,000 in GoFundMe resources.

On Thursday, Feb. 4, an article (about snow-play on Maunakea, with pictures) made no mention of the potential dangers that exist.

It would be helpful to cover both aspects of snow-play in the same article.
