Gilbert “Bobby” Estabilio, 80, of Kapaau died Dec. 23 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, he was an agriculture researcher for the state of Hawaii. Private services held. Survived by sons, Dale Estabilio and Bradley (Pamela) Estabilio of Kohala; daughter, Teri Estabilio of Washington; sisters, Sally (Pete) Magallones of Oahu and Evelyn (Anthony) Tuttlemondo and Lori Corpuz of California; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Shiro Takata, 91, of Hawi died Jan. 12 at home. Born in North Kohala, he was owner of Takata Store and founded the Kohala Community Athletic Association. Private services. Survived by companion, Felisa Rosario of Hawi; sons, Rayton (Helen) Takata of Waimea and Jerry (Kim) Takata of Kohala; sisters, Harriett Yoshimitsu of Pearl City, Oahu, and Janice Onaka of Kona; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Frances Akiona Cahill Tarallo, 93, of Kailua-Kona and San Bruno, Calif., died Jan. 25 in Ocean View. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired Department of Defense contract specialist. Services at a later date. Survived by daughter, Healani M. Cahill of Ocean View; son, David (Sonia) Cahill of Kailua-Kona; sister, Eloise Williams of Honolulu; six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Franklin Roosevelt Yangson, 86, of Honaunau died Jan. 16 in Captain Cook. Born in Moanaloa, Molokai, he was a design mechanical engineer for Hughes Aircraft and worked for the Apollo Space Program and General Motor’s electric cars. Services at later date. Survived by spouse, Jane Yangson; son, Franklin Yangson Jr. of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Kathryn (Michael) Barr of Los Angeles; sisters, Marylyn Yangson of Kailua-Kona and Jeanette Dacoscos of San Francisco; two grandchildren; aunts, uncles and cousins. The late James Reis Sr. is survived by, among others, sister-in-law, Joyce De Reis. Her name was not submitted for an obituary published Jan. 11.
